We have been active in New Orleans real estate since 2015, and property management is not a side service we added to fill capacity. It is a core part of who we are, built and run by people who live in this market every day. Today we manage a growing portfolio of scatter site rental units across Orleans Parish, and every one of them gets the same standard of care, whether it is a single shotgun double or part of a larger portfolio.

John Hendrix is the Broker/Owner of REMAX Crescent Collective and brings a rare blend of real estate expertise and hands-on construction knowledge to every transaction. Holding both Louisiana residential and commercial contractor licenses, John offers clients a strategic advantage whether evaluating a major purchase or identifying improvements that meaningfully increase a home’s market value.
Since entering real estate sales in 2015, John has closed over $200 million in total production, representing a wide range of residential, luxury, and investment properties. His construction background allows him to see beyond the surface, helping buyers make confident decisions and guiding sellers on where to invest and where not to when preparing a property for sale.
John frequently works with high-net-worth individuals and investors, but his approach remains grounded, practical, and highly personalized. He is deeply committed to helping clients and colleagues build long-term wealth through smart real estate decisions.
John lives in the Uptown neighborhood with his wife, Lindsay, and is a proud father to Harry, Jack, and Lucy.
Principal and Operation Manager
Jarred Brand serves as Chief Operating Officer and Partner of Bayou Property Management and Bayou Development, where he helps lead the companies’ operations, strategic growth, and real estate development initiatives.
Before relocating to New Orleans, Jarred built an accomplished 15-year career in management with a privately held global company operating across six countries. The organization manages more than 20 processing facilities, along with an extensive fleet of fishing and processing vessels, and generates an estimated $2.6 billion in annual revenue. During his tenure, Jarred played an instrumental role in overseeing major capital projects and rose to the position of Vice President.
Jarred brings the discipline, operational insight, and leadership experience gained in a complex global organization to the Bayou companies. His ability to manage large-scale projects, strengthen systems, and guide teams plays an important role in the continued growth of Bayou Property Management and Bayou Development.
Jarred lives in Mid-City New Orleans with his wife, Val, and their daughter, Margo.
Principal and Head of Asset Management
Wil Carson serves as Principal and Head of Asset Management - Client Relations for Bayou Property Management. In this role, he leads the company’s maintenance operations, capital planning, and client relations, helping property owners protect their investments while ensuring residents receive responsive, dependable service.
Before entering property management, Wil built extensive leadership experience in corporate America, overseeing complex logistics for a multibillion-dollar global company. His background includes managing people, processes, budgets, and capital resources across large-scale operations. This experience gives him a practical understanding of how to prioritize investments, control costs, and allocate capital where it can produce the greatest long-term value.
Wil’s academic background includes advanced studies in business and landscape architecture at Mississippi State University. This combination of operational leadership, financial discipline, and design expertise brings a valuable perspective to the management and improvement of the properties Bayou serves.
Wil lives in the Irish Channel neighborhood of New Orleans with his wife, Alyona.
